LENOX- Rita May Swartz, 70, of 405 Pittsfield Lenox Rd., died Monday June 23, 2008 at Hillcrest Commons where she had been a resident for two weeks. Born December 18, 1937 in Pittsfield the daughter of George W. and Dorothy C. Phillips Rollins she was a 1956 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Swartz was employed by JJ Newbury’s, the US Army, Shaffer Eaton Textron, Fairview Hospital, and Benard Brother’where she functioned as a bookkeeper/accountant for 50 years. She was a member of the Grange # 14 of Pittsfield and the BCAC. She was member of the First United Methodist Church of Lenox where she served on the Board of Trustees for many years. Mrs. Swartz leaves her son Scott G. Swartz of Suffolk, VA and a brother William Rollins of North Carolina. FUNERAL NOTICE- A memorial services for Mrs. Rita M. Swartz will be held Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 6pm at the First United Methodist Church of Lenox with the Rev. Valerie Roberts Toler Pastor and Rev.
